WoW Forever Talent Calculator Guide: Planning a Build

How to plan a WoW Forever talent build, what each of a class's three classic-style talent trees covers, and where the data comes from.

WoW Forever, announced at BlizzCon 2026, brings back the classic three-tree talent system instead of the modern class-tree/spec-tree split — every class gets three full talent trees, and points can be spread across all three or concentrated into one.

Three trees per class

A Mage has Arcane, Fire, and Frost trees; a Warrior has Arms, Fury, and Protection trees — every one of the 9 classes follows the same pattern. Each tree tracks its own points independently — there's no shared class pool, so going deep into one tree doesn't cost you points in another.

Where the data comes from

WoW Forever hasn't launched yet, so talent names, ranks, icons, and descriptions come from Wowhead's WoW Forever talent calculator, built from testing and streams at the BlizzCon 2026 reveal. It's a pre-release snapshot that will be refreshed once a beta client is available to datamine.

The WoW Forever Talent Calculator lets you plan all three trees for any of the 9 WoW classes.
